Reviews
No reviews yet
We’re new, so there aren’t any. A rating with nothing behind it is worth nothing, and a page of five-star reviews with no negatives reads as filtered to anyone paying attention.
The standard
The standard we’ll hold them to
Verified buyers only
A review has to come from an order. No unverified submissions, and none written by us.
Negative reviews stay up
Published alongside the rest, unedited. If the socks disappoint someone, that belongs here.
Filterable by use and rating
A commuter’s experience is more useful to another commuter than an overall average. The filters go live with the reviews.
The average is the real one
Whatever it turns out to be is what gets printed, along with how many reviews it’s based on.
We won’t offer anything for a review
No discount, no free pair, no prize draw. A review bought with an incentive isn’t evidence, and presenting it as though it were is now specifically prohibited.
Instead
What you can check instead
The waterproof layer is named
Porelle®, made by a separate company. You can look it up, which is more than an unnamed layer offers.
The limits are published
What the socks won’t do is on the homepage. Nobody else in this category publishes that.
The company is named
UK registered, with the address and phone number on every page rather than behind a contact form.
Questions
Common questions
Answered with the same facts as the rest of this page. If one of them contradicts something above, the answer above is the one that is wrong.

When will there be reviews?
When enough people have bought and used a pair for a rating to mean something. We’d rather show nothing than show four reviews and an average.
Will you publish bad reviews?
Yes, unedited and alongside the rest. A page with no negatives on it tells a careful reader it’s been filtered, which is worse than a mixed one.
Two decisions and a quantity. No account needed.
